Mark B. Goodheart


Mark B. Goodheart, Principal of the Firm, is an experienced trial lawyer, counselor, and advisor who brings a unique legal, business, and personal background to his representation of clients.

In addition to owning and operating The Goodheart Firm, Mark is Of Counsel with Feldman Shepherd  Wohlgelernter Tanner Weinstock Dodig, LLP.   Feldman Shepherd Personal Injury Lawyers represent victims of catastrophic injury involving medical malpractice, birth injury, motor vehicle accidents, and defective products, recovering some of the largest verdicts and settlements in Pennsylvania & New Jersey.

Throughout his career, Mark has represented individuals, families, and children, seeking to recover for economic loss, physical pain and suffering, emotional damage, and property damage, sustained as a result of the professional liability, medical negligence, ordinary negligence and wrongful conduct of others.

Mark’s clients include victims of Motor Vehicle Collisions, Medical Malpractice, Workplace Accidents, Construction Accidents, Slip/Trip and Fall Injuries, Pedestrian and Bicycle Collisions, and Product Defects; people who have suffered Traumatic Brain Injuries; and Children Catastrophically injured at Birth. Mr. Goodheart works individually and as part of a team of lawyers to maximize the financial recoveries for his personal injury clients and has achieved significant results. Mark’s representation and counsel for businesses follows a cross-section of the corporate sector, including those specializing in Real Estate Development, Property/Facility Management, Manufacturing/Distribution, Construction, Entertainment, Sports, Event Management/Production, Media/Advertising, and Individual Entrepreneurship. Mark counsels and represents clients in dealmaking; negotiations; contract drafting, review and enforcement; the initiation and prosecution of lawsuits to recover money and/or enforce rights; litigation administration and oversight; risk and liability management; and insurance coverage analysis and revision.

Mark is also a Certified Agent through the NFL Players’ Association.  He brings his years of experience, passion for sports, and genuine interest in helping people, to his agency – Impact Athlete Management.

Mark Goodheart’s work has resulted in his being named a Super Lawyer in 2024 and a “Pennsylvania Rising Star” in 2010, 2013, 2015-2016, as selected by Super Lawyers by Thomson Reuters, based upon peer review ratings. No more than 2.5 and 5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive these honors respectively each year.

Mark Goodheart is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. He is also admitted to practice before the following Federal Courts: United States Court of Appeals, Third Circuit; United States District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania; and United States District Court, New Jersey.

Mark Goodheart is active in the legal and civic community. Philanthropy is a core value of Mark and The Firm. 

He has volunteered and served as a Hearing Committee Member of the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania since 2012. He is certified and has served as an Arbitrator for the compulsory arbitration program of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas since 2008. He is also a dedicated coach of youth sports. 

Mark Goodheart is a member of the Board of Directors of the Samuel S. Fleisher Art Memorial in South Philadelphia and served as Board President for five (5) years. The mission of the Fleisher Art Memorial is to make art accessible to everyone, regardless of economic means, background, or artistic experience.

Mark Goodheart serves as a Chairman’s Council Member of The Mann Music Center.  The Mann Center for the Performing Arts – situated in historic Fairmount Park with breathtaking views of Philadelphia’s skyline – serves as one of the nation’s premier non-profit and intercultural outdoor performing arts organizations.  Its educational mission is to give every young person the opportunity to be inspired by the sights, sounds, and rhythms of the performing arts through the magic and richness of live performances.

Mark Goodheart and his firm are also one of the title sponsors of The Dave Parker 39 Foundation.  The Foundation is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization focused on finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease in our lifetime, and to make life better for those living with the disease today. Mark Goodheart was born and raised in Philadelphia and resides in the city. He is a graduate of Binghamton University, where he played on the baseball team, and received his law degree from The Beasley School of Law at Temple University. Prior to attending law school he worked for the Philadelphia Phillies, Comcast-Spectacor’s Philadelphia Charge and SportsCapsule, a successful Internet start-up company affiliated with ESPN. Before launching The Goodheart Firm, Mr. Goodheart was an attorney with two well-known law firms in Philadelphia – one specializing in catastrophic personal injury and the other in commercial litigation and corporate representation. His late father, the Honorable Bernard J. Goodheart, served as a Judge for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas for thirty years.
